Daniel Calleja has been amongst the again down in Spain . Some more good carp have come his way, including fish up to 46lb 8oz from Almoguera Lake . It´s a relatively small lake for Spain , at 6km long and similar to a river, being between 30-50 meters wide. According to Daniel, the lake is an exceptional water at it is connected to a nuclear power station and has warm water all year round, which makes it a good winter water too, where it´s easy to catch carp between 10-14 kilos and also Comiza barbell up to 11 kilos! He baited with Monster Pursuit boilies from Nash and managed a further five carp between 10kg and 15kg. Moving on from that, Daniel spent four days at the well known but difficult Orellana Lake, where he managed to land his best fish so far from that water at 40lb 4oz and to complete a very succesfull spell of fishing he went on to have a go for very impressive Comiza barbel that live in the Pools of Ruidera and ended up with a few good specimens, although he neglected to give me the weights for those. All the fish were again caught on Nashbait gear.
